Rearing of our puppies

Our puppies are born in our living room. So that the dog has plenty of time to get used to it, we put the whelping box in the living room one week before the expected birth date.
A few days before the due date and also a few weeks after, I sleep right next to the whelping box to be able to intervene if and whenever necessary.
Once the puppies have opened eyes and ears, we begin to make them get used to optical and accoustical "everyday things". In addition to what a normal household offers,
there meanwhile are 2 CD's available with any number of sounds (aircraft noise, traffic, police sirens, waste collection, etc.) Intensive social contact of the puppies to all family members and visitors is extremely important for us, right from the beginning.
As soon as the puppies become more active and start to discover the surroundings, they can access our garden directly from the living room.
There they will discover many new impressions and above all new smells. Various surfaces (bricks, blocks, wooden planks, soil, grass, sand and grids) can be explored and the playing equipment (e.g. tunnels, suspension bridge and a balance whipping top) always bring new challenges to the dwarfs. We also practice taking the puppies out in the car.
After 6-7 weeks we remove the whelping box and provide instead a room kennel and a carrier case for cars, so the puppies get used to it and learn that these are nice places for a rest.

You will surely not get the perfect puppy from us, but with all of that we hope to establish a solid and resilient basis for a balanced development of our puppies.

At the time of hand over our puppies are repeatedly wormed and vaccinated. Also they are tattooed and chipped and you will receive an EU-pet-pass.
After completion of the 6th postnatal week the veterinarian does the first bigger health-check, after the 8th week the 2nd check, including vaccination and chipping is done. At the beginning of the 9th postnatal week there's an approval of the litter done from an experienced breed warden. As a matter of course the puppy vendors will receive a copy of the litter acceptance report.
The pedigree (RRCD/VDH/FCI) of the puppy we unfortunately cannot provide at the time of hand-over. As the approval of the litter is done only one week before the hand-over and its result is needed to prepare a correct pedigree, we will send the pedigree afterwards to the puppy owners by registered mail.

From you as future puppy owners we first and foremost request the following:
*.that you are willing to use this active and spirited dog to full capacity, physically
..and mentally
*.that you really want to get involved and are willing to engage with his characteristics
*.that you have the needed time and patience for his upbringing
